Stuart Crawford Associates Advises Edinburgh Bar Association
Stuart Crawford Associates has been engaged by the Edinburgh Bar Association (EBA) to help with the Association’s political communications programme as it responds to the Scottish Government’s proposals to reform criminal legal aid. These reforms, part of a wide-ranging review of Scotland’s criminal justice system being carried out by the SNP-led administration in Holyrood, have serious implications for access to justice which the EBA is keen to highlight.
Stuart Crawford commented: “We are, of course, delighted to be involved with the EBA and its important communications programme, which we hope will help to ensure that there continues to be access to proper legal advice and representation in Scotland, no matter what the economic or social circumstances of the individuals concerned might be. It is clearly important that those least able to defend themselves get the best professional legal advice as appropriate. We are determined to make sure that the EBA’s important message gets across.”
